OUR STORY
Gum-tec Gumboots is a new collection of welly boots for kids made with recycled waste chewing gum!
The brainchild of Anna Bullus who started in 2009 with Gumdrop Ltd. A company that specialises in the recycling of pre and post consumer waste chewing gum. This is then recycled into Gum-tec a new range of compounds that can be used for many different rubber and plastic applications.
Anna is well known for the famous pink Gumdrop Bins made with recycled chewing gum which are specifically designed to collect people's used gum up and down high streets, universities, train stations, airports, schools all over the United Kingdom.
Gumdrop Ltd now works with major chewing gum manufacturers wishing to eliminate their waste gum output. The use of Gum-tec has already delivered an 80% environmental impact over the virgin material it replaces. Using this waste stream Anna wanted to create a product that would have a positive impact on our environment and through its connection with Gumdrop raise awareness of the sheer amount of gum litter that is found on our streets today.

Gum-tec Gumboots are 100% recyclable so when you want to change your gumboots, you can send them back to My Gumboots to recycle and as a thank you, they will give you a discount on a new pair!

Small Steps
At the heart of what we do
In our quest to divert waste from landfill, we discovered the plight of the ‘barefoot children’ who live on landfill sites, trawling through toxic waste every day in search of anything they can sell to sustain their lives. 'Barefoot Children'
That’s why we have joined forces with Small Steps Project. This extraordinary charity provides emergency aid, footwear and food to the children living on these landfill sites in Cambodia, Laos and Romania.
For every pair of Gum-tec® Gumboots you buy, we will send a pair of Gum-tec® Gumboots to a child living on Cluj Landfill site in Romania. With your help, not only can we reduce the amount of waste ending up in landfill but we can also help these children and their parents get the aid and education they really need.

Gum-tec is manufactured in two locations in Europe and the US. The waste is sourced from chewing gum manufacturers wishing to lower or eliminate their waste gum output.
